Mumbai, 22nd August 2026: Bollywood playback singer Shantanu ‘Shaan’ Mukherjee and his wife Radhika Mukherjee have purchased a luxury residence in Bandra West for ₹48 crore, adding to the recent high-value property transactions in Mumbai’s premium residential market.
The 6,300-square-foot residence is located at Palmera, a luxury residential development near the junction of Turner Road and St Martin’s Road. The property has been created by combining three apartments across approximately one-and-a-half floors, with two of the units interconnected while the third remains independent. The residence is located on the 18th floor of the 22-storey tower.
The transaction was registered on August 20, 2026, and was brokered by Propbay India LLP, according to sources.
Palmera stands on the redeveloped plot of the former bungalow of veteran actor Mala Sinha. The residential tower has 32 residences and includes amenities such as a swimming pool and bar on the upper floor.
The ₹48-crore purchase comes at a time when Mumbai’s luxury housing market continues to see strong activity. The city recorded nearly 1,500 luxury home registrations worth ₹14,903 crore between April and June 2026, according to data cited in the report.
For Shaan, the purchase also continues his long-standing association with Bandra. The singer has been associated with the suburb for years, with his family having a connection to the area. His father, musician Manas Mukherjee, was also part of the music industry.
The latest transaction adds Shaan to the list of Bollywood personalities making high-value property purchases in Mumbai, particularly in established luxury residential markets such as Bandra West.
