NBCC To Re-Auction 262 Ultra-Luxury Apartments In Chanakyapuri Within Days

New Delhi, 24th August 2026: NBCC (India) Ltd is planning to conduct a fresh e-auction of 262 ultra-luxury apartments in Delhi’s Chanakyapuri area within the next few days, shortly after cancelling the earlier auction citing administrative reasons.

The state-owned company had cancelled the auction through a notice dated August 19. The apartments are located at Avenue Towers on Africa Avenue in Sarojini Nagar and have a saleable area of more than 4,000 sq ft each.

NBCC had originally announced the e-auction in July, with the apartments being offered on a freehold basis. The units had a starting price of ₹15 crore per apartment.

Sources told Hindustan Times that NBCC is now planning to retender the apartments with certain changes aimed at end-users.

“We are planning to retender the document with some restrictions to benefit end-users,” sources said.

The fresh auction is expected to attract interest from high-net-worth individuals, professionals and businessmen, according to sources.

The cancellation of the earlier auction had come after NBCC cited “administrative reasons”. The company had also said that the Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) submitted by applicants, along with the auction processing fee paid through the RailTel Corporation of India portal, would be refunded in full within three working days from the date of the cancellation notice.

The 262 apartments form part of Avenue Towers in Sarojini Nagar, close to the Chanakyapuri area. The homes are positioned in the ultra-luxury segment, with each unit measuring more than 4,000 sq ft in saleable area.

NBCC had initially put the apartments up for auction as part of its residential redevelopment programme. The fresh e-auction is expected to provide another opportunity for prospective buyers after the earlier process was cancelled.

The company has not yet announced the detailed schedule or final terms for the fresh auction. Prospective bidders will have to wait for the revised e-auction document and conditions before participating.
